Description:
Finely carved wooden angel with polychrome finish and gold-colored ornamentation, dating to around 1880. The kneeling posture, hands crossed over the chest, and gently inclined head lend the figure an expression of devotion. Lovingly crafted facial features, curly hair, and large, intricately carved wings highlight the exquisite craftsmanship. The robe, rendered in shades of red, is decorated with delicate floral motifs and gold-colored borders. A light, greenish-toned mantle complements the rich, flowing folds of the drapery. The wings are detachable; the figure rests on a rectangular wooden base. The natural patina adds a unique charm to the angel.
