Beschreibung:
Ernst Wahliss, Vienna – Ceramic Vase with Floral Decoration, circa 1910
Rich floral decoration adorns this ceramic vase by Ernst Wahliss, Vienna, dating to around 1910. Pink and yellow roses, violet bellflowers and green leaves stand out beautifully against the black background. Dark outlines emphasise the stylised flowers and foliage. The rounded body rises to a short neck with a slightly flared rim. The glossy glaze enhances the vibrant colours of the decoration, which extends around the vase. The interior has a cream-coloured glaze. The underside bears the maker’s stamp, the incised number 5760 and the painted number 306. A decorative collector’s piece from the Art Nouveau period. Guaranteed antique – not a reproduction.
