Description:
A charming Santa Claus figure dating to the 1930s, dressed in a red felt coat and tall matching hat with light-coloured trim. The face, hands and feet are made of composition. His expressive, hand-painted face is framed by a full rabbit-fur beard. In one hand, Santa holds a green goose-feather sprig representing a small Christmas tree. A decorative garland of colourful silvered glass beads is draped over his other arm. The figure stands on a wooden base. The body lifts off the lower section to reveal a compartment for sweets. A delightful collector’s piece of historical Christmas decoration with many charming details.
