Descripton:
A charming antique Christmas ornament in the shape of a snowball, made from spun cotton and decorated with glitter, dating to circa 1920. The irregularly textured surface gives this piece its distinctive character. The surviving glitter adds delicate sparkle to the cotton, which now has an ochre-yellow tone. A small wire loop allows it to be hung on the Christmas tree. Signs of age and use, together with the preserved patina, enhance the authentic charm of this collectible piece.
