Description:
An expressive ceramic vase by Peter Robert Keil, decorated all around in oil and acrylic paints. The gently rounded body with its flared rim provides the canvas for a vibrant composition of abstracted faces. Large eyes, prominent mouths and bold black outlines give the figures a striking expressive quality. Brilliant yellow, pink, orange, red, blue and turquoise create vivid accents against a cream-coloured background. Visible brushstrokes emphasise the spontaneous character of the painting. The decoration reveals new perspectives from every angle, making this 47 cm tall vase an impressive work of art. Signed near the base and dated “86”. A certificate of authenticity is available.
